Alpharetta and Roswell competed in a pitchers dual until the 7th inning when Alpharetta broke through with 2 runs in the top of the 7th to secure the win. P.J. Smith threw 4.2 innings of shutout ball and Josiah Aranovitch came in relief for 2 shutout innings to get the win.
Austin Janda led of the 7th with a double and then took 3rd on a pass ball. Colby Camps then hit a sacrifice fly to score Janda. Cooper Mendlinger then reached base and proceeded to add an insurance run to make it 3-1. Josiah Aranovitch then finished Roswell off in the bottom of the 7th for the win.
Alpharetta moves to 2-1 and plays again on Tuesday at Kings Ridge.
