Alpharetta Raiders Varsity Fights Back In Loss To Peachtree Ridge
Alpharetta Raiders Varsity fought back after falling down by four runs in the fourth inning. The comeback fell just short though, in a 4-3 defeat to Peachtree Ridge on Friday. Alpharetta Raiders Varsity managed three runs in the failed comeback. Jacob Lassiat, Bradley Rowlinson, and Justin Kirby all picked up RBIs in the rally.
Alpharetta Raiders Varsity couldn’t keep up with Peachtree Ridge early in the game. Peachtree Ridge scored on a single by Kohl Nguyen and a walk by Grayson Duffy in the first inning.
Peachtree Ridge opened up scoring in the first inning, when Nguyen singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Duffy took the win for Peachtree Ridge. He surrendered one run on one hit over one inning, striking out one and walking one. Aiden Gardner, Ryan Nauret, and Thomas LeMaster all put in work on the pitcher’s mound in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.
Cole Hamel took the loss for Alpharetta Raiders Varsity. He allowed three hits and three runs over two innings, striking out one.
Logan Conn started the game for Peachtree Ridge. He lasted three innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out six.
Kirby and Drew Beiger each managed one hit to lead Alpharetta Raiders Varsity.
Jack Rasmussen went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Peachtree Ridge in hits.
