Alpharetta Raiders Varsity Loses Lead Early In Defeat
Alpharetta Raiders Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 9-5 loss to Norcross on Tuesday. Norcross scored on a single by Jonathan Haab in the first inning, a sacrifice fly by Garrett Murray in the first inning, a error in the second inning, and a walk by Juan Guerro in the second inning.
Norcross opened up scoring in the first inning, when Haab singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
Haab led things off on the hill for Norcross. He went two innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out one and walking one.
Sam Stratton started the game for Alpharetta Raiders Varsity. He allowed two hits and two runs over one inning, striking out one and walking one.
Drew Beiger led Alpharetta Raiders Varsity with two hits in three at bats.
Haab went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Norcross in hits. Norcross didn’t commit a single error in the field. Pierce Thomas had six chances in the field, the most on the team.
