Alpharetta fought back after falling down by four runs in the third inning. The comeback fell just short though, in a 4-3 defeat to Chattahoochee on Wednesday. Alpharetta scored three runs in the failed comeback on a single by Nadir Lewis in the sixth, a sacrifice fly by Drew Beiger in the seventh, and a groundout by Ben Browning in the seventh.
Alpharetta lost despite out-hitting Chattahoochee six to five.
Davis Rokose was the winning pitcher for Chattahoochee. He went five innings, allowing zero runs on one hit and striking out ten. #9 and Carson Wilkinson entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Sam Stratton took the loss for Alpharetta. He allowed three hits and four runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out five.
Justin Kirby led Alpharetta with two hits in three at bats.
Rokose went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Chattahoochee in hits.
