Baseball Volunteers with Miracle League
On September 24, 2016 members of the AHS Baseball and Softball teams gave back to the community and volunteered as buddies for the North Metro Miracle League (NMML) at North Park. Jackson Tauscher (2018) coordinated the event, and is proud of the way Alpharetta HS Student-Athletes stepped up to help kids with challenges at the Miracle League.
Total Volunteers Hours Volunteered
The Miracle League kids play with a ton of passion, and are really excited to be on the field playing baseball. Throughout the day AHS Student-Athletes, Parents and Coaches participated as player buddies, announcers, helpers and concession stand workers. The coaching staff is very proud of our kids enthusiasm this weekend, and Coach Lassiat & Coach Francis are proud of the kids volunteering their time to help others. The Alpharetta baseball and softball players had a BLAST helping the Miracle League kids, and look forward to volunteering again in the Spring semester!
Baseball in the Community
In March 2016 our baseball team volunteered as buddies for the North Fulton Miracle League at North Park. Throughout the day 36 of our baseball, 4 softball players and 8 parents and Coaches participated as player buddies, announcers, helpers and concession stand workers. The coaching staff is very proud of our boys and for the time they spent this weekend this was our most meaningful “practice” we have had. It was good for them to see and talk to many students who attend or have attended Alpharetta High School that participate in NFML.
