What is an athletic trainer? A certified and licensed health care professional who provides injury prevention services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. They serve on the front line of our sport medicine team, ensuring your athlete gets the highest quality of care on campus, as well as appropriate and timely referrals to our sport medicine physicians and physical therapists as needed.

Head Athletic Trainer – Alpharetta HS
Lisa Anthony is a Certified Athletic Trainer that provides daily services in injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation to Alpharetta High School student athletes. A California native, Lisa moved to Roswell, Georgia as a child where she grew up swimming and playing soccer. For her undergraduate degrees, she attended the University of Georgia and received her B.S.Ed. in Athletic Training and in Exercise and Sport Science. In 2015, Lisa accepted a graduate assistantship at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. She completed her Master of Science in Sports Medicine at the U. In 2017, Lisa returned to Georgia and worked as an athletic trainer for 2 years in Cherokee County before becoming the head athletic trainer at Alpharetta High School. She is excited to join the AHS family and help the athletes with their day-to-day sports medicine needs.

Associate Athletic Trainer – Alpharetta HS
Erin Reece is a Certified Athletic Trainer that provides services daily for injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation to Alpharetta High School student athletes. Erin is from Cherokee county and has lived in Georgia her whole life. She played basketball and softball while growing up. Her college education includes an undergraduate degree from Valdosta State University where she received a B.S. in Athletic Training. Erin graduated college in May 2019 and returned home to later accept a position as the associate athletic trainer at Alpharetta High School. She is proud to be a member of the AHS family and assist the athletes with any sports medicine needs.
