Mendlinger Throws Shutout As The Raiders Defeats Cambridge
Noah Mendlinger didn’t allow a single run as Alpharetta defeated Cambridge 3-0 on Wednesday. Mendlinger allowed just four hits.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Noah Mendlinger struck out four, while Austin Weiermiller sat down nine.
A double by Sam Waylock in the second inning was a positive for Cambridge but the Bears were unable to drive him in.
Mendlinger earned the win he pitched seven innings, surrendering zero runs, four hits, striking out four, and walking zero. Weiermiller took the loss for Cambridge. He threw six innings, surrendering three runs, five hits, striking out nine, and walking zero.
Jordan Abrams and Matthew Wilson each drove in one run to lead Alpharetta Raiders. The Raiders didn’t commit a single error in the field. Santiago Montiel had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.
Blake Renner went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Cambridge in hits.
