Lead by Gogo Maduka’s double double, and Croix Bethune’s defensive and offensive wizardry, the Alpharetta Lady Raiders downed their rival Johns Creek Gladiators by the score of 42 – 35. Gogo’s 15 points and 12 rebounds paced the offense, while Croix added 11 points in the winning effort to go along with her six rebounds, six assists and five rebounds.

Taylor Hood, Juju Maduka, Jalyn Tillerson and Chandler Davis all added 4 points each to round out the scoring.

Our Lady Raiders improved to a Region record of 8-2 and 12-7 overall. Join the team as they travel to Pope High School next Tuesday night to take on a tough Lady Greyhound team.

In Junior Varsity play, the Lady Raiders defeated Johns Creek 44-30. In a tight game to the half, with each team dropping baskets to take the lead, our Lady Raiders were down by 1, 22-21. Our girls dominated the 3rd quarter 12-2, to blow open, what was up to then a close, tense game. The victorious Raiders closed the game out with a 10-7 fourth quarter for the final score.

For the first time this season, the Lady JV Raiders had two double digit scorers with Erica Campbell leading the team with 14 and Mahima Sangtani dropping in 12, season highs for both. Abbey Morgan scored 6, Georgia Lingerfelt chipped in 5, Naz Martinez added 4 and Lauren Erickson rounded out the scoring with 2.
