Raiders News · Wrestling Coach Named: Ed Paladino

It is with great excitement that we introduce our new Director of Wrestling, Ed Paladino.

Ed Paladino currently trains at the US Wrestling Club in Alpharetta and coached the Chattahoochee Jr. Cougar Program this past year. He started his wrestling career at Woodbridge High School, in Woodbridge, New Jersey, and had a 58-6-2 record, winning multiple championships in Districts and Regions and placing in the top 6 at the New Jersey State Tournament. He wrestled at Middlesex County College in 1992 and became a first year All-American. He earned a bid for Europe on the 1992 NJCAA USA Freestyle Wrestling Team and in 1996 he competed in the US Freestyle Wrestling Nationals. He then wrestled at Missouri Valley College until 1999 during which the program won two national championships. This year he will be competing in the World Wrestling Championships, on October 13th-18th in Athens Greece, representing the USA Veterans World Freestyle and Greco Team at 69kg.

From the Coach:
“Wrestling has been such a positive influence in my life, and through it I have met some of the most amazing people, both on and off the mat. I can only hope to pass on some of the great experiences I have had to the kids I coach today. It truly has been such a blessing to be part of the wrestling community and family all these years and I look forward to the years ahead.

I am excited to join the Raider family and look forward to meeting everyone. I will set up a time in September to sit down with athletes and parents to discuss the program and preseason training.”
